Sea-Mountain Insurance is a family owned and operated insurance agency founded in 1987. SMI has been fortunate enough to assist with thousands of commercial fishing families in Alaska in finding their insurance needs.

We understand that commercial fishermen spend too much of their time getting a certificate of insurance while navigating paperwork, red tape and processes with too many steps. Our marine insurance specialists have a streamlined insurance process and deliver outstanding service.

The Navy’s mission is to maintain, train, and equip combat-ready forces capable of winning wars, deterring aggression, and maintaining freedom of the seas. The Gulf of Alaska provides invaluable training space needed to realistically train U.S. service members to protect and defend the United States and its allies.

Northern Edge exercises are Alaska’s largest joint (multi-service) training exercises and occur every other year. During this exercise, the Navy takes actions to avoid or minimize impacts on marine mammals, fishes, marine birds, and important habitat. The Navy is also a world leader in marine species research and monitoring efforts.
