Sara Cleaver

Originally from New England, Sara Cleaver came to NPFMC in 2017 as an Alaska Sea Grant Fellow and is now a fishery analyst and the Gulf of Alaska Groundfish FMP Coordinator. Sara holds a master’s degree from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment, where she focused on fisheries management specific to highly migratory species. Her undergraduate degree was in environmental policy and international development. Prior to joining Council staff, Sara worked as a fish and wildlife technician for several years in Yakutat, Alaska. In her free time, Sara enjoys backcountry skiing, flyfishing, and biking with her rescue pup.
